This New Sculpture In Rhode Island
MARC FORNES/THEVERYMANY have recently completed their latest sculptural design HYPARBOLE, that sits at the entrance to Rhode Island College’s Fine Arts Center in Providence.
The collection of green curves that make up the sculpture, entice visitors to the college to wander into the sculpture that has a height of 22 feet.
The curvature of the 3,037 square foot sculpture was created by overlapping aluminum elements that work together as a unified structural system.
The aluminum structure, which is made from 582 pieces and is held together with 10,082 rivets, has been designed with cut-outs to allow the light to pass through.
